I don’t provide an experience, I become a part of yours. To be honest, you’re going to spend more time with your photographer than almost anyone else on your wedding day, and I feel strongly about being fully-present without interrupting. I’m there to capture the quick, in-between candid moments, without being the silent, awkward photographer in the corner. I’ll spend as much time as you want shooting dope ass portraits of how you looked, but more importantly I’ll capture how you felt without asking you to be someone you’re not as a couple.
I take different approaches for each part of the day. For the majority of the wedding day, my priority is to make you and your guests feel completely themselves around me, shooting candids while blending in and assimilating to my environment. When it’s time for family formals, I’m right there directing the scene efficiently and making sure we get those must-have pictures for mom. During portrait time, I’ll direct you without posing you and create an easy-going atmosphere for pictures that “posed but candid” – how else are you gonna know what to do with your hands?? Haha! And during reception, you can bet I’ll be right there in the middle, singing and dancing along with all of the 80’s ballads, making your guests forget that all their drunk dance moves are being documented 😉
My goal is to provide a sense of comfort, and to help dissipate any anxiety you might be feeling before and during your big day. I’ll participate without intruding and go the extra mile to document your wedding in a way that will allow you to look back decades from now and relive it over and over.
